Steven Spielberg has lined up his next project, and he's going to tackle it with Bradley Cooper.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner has set his sights on adapting "American Sniper," the best-selling autobiography by Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
Kyle, who wrote about his experience as a lethal military sniper in Iraq, was fatally shot in February.
Cooper's attached to both star in the film and produce, along with Spielberg, Andrew Lazar and Peter Morgan.
Jason Hall is serving as executive producer on the project, and also wrote the script. The plan is to start production in early 2014.
Following his Oscar nod for "Silver Linings Playbook," Cooper has been steadily adding titles to his list of projects. In addition to "Hangover III," which will arrive in theaters May 24, Cooper's at work on David O. Russell's new film, "American Hustle," and an untitled Cameron Crowe romantic comedy.
